Statue of Christ vandalised in India after canonisation of Mother Teresa

George, head of the "Global Council of Indian Christians" (GCIC), "Mother Teresa's canonisation was a great day of joy in India and the world: the more so today our religious feelings are negatively affected by this vandalism. And if some attribute the incident to a drunk person, the lack of interest shown in particular by law enforcement officers for our religious feelings and the broken body of Our Jesus Christ is very painful", said the president of the GCIC.
