When a politician is closer to God than an "episcopess"

After the service, Trump noted that the sermon "wasn't too exciting", adding that "they can do much better."
This led to an absurd situation where a politician is preaching the truth of God, while a Christian "bishop" calls on him to do the opposite.
One of Trump's first executive orders was to reject gender and LGBT ideology, declaring that there are only two genders: male and female. The new administration cleared federal resources of LGBT content and canceled all gender programs. And although Trump doesn't refer to the Bible in his actions, in essence, his views are much closer to its teachings and understanding than those of some "bishops".
At the same time, the "Christian preacher" insists that gay children, lesbian children, and transgender people exist, imploring the U.S. President to be merciful toward them "in the name of our God".
However, since the president has never threatened "gay children", one could conclude that the bishop was simply urging him not to roll back LGBT programs, but to continue Biden's approach of promoting gender ideology.
This raises confusion. Everyone knows that God created only man and woman. The Bible clearly calls homosexuality a sin. It is impossible to connect the Divine teachings with a program protecting "LGBT children".
We are used to seeing politicians leverage the Church for their own selfish interests. But in this case, it seems the other way around. Trump may not be an exemplary Christian, but his actions for now are far more in line with the Christian doctrine than those of some prominent "clergy".
