Over 4,000 believers hold a procession around UOC Cathedral in Chernivtsi

On Sunday, March 9, 2025, on the Sunday of the Triumph of Orthodoxy, thousands of believers of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC) participated in a festive religious procession around the Holy Spirit Cathedral in Chernivtsi.
The cross procession gathered more than 4,000 Orthodox Christians, who together glorified the Lord, offered prayers for the Church, and expressed their loyalty to canonical Orthodoxy.
On this day, the Church triumphantly proclaims victory over heresies, persecutions, and false doctrines that have challenged faithful Christians both in the early centuries and in our difficult times.
Just as on February 16, 2025, when thousands of believers gathered at Bukovyna’s main shrine, the prayers on this day were especially solemn. The faithful thanked God for His mercies and prayed for strength in their faith.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that round-the-clock prayer has been ongoing in the Chernivtsi Cathedral for 15 days.
