Monastic tonsures performed in Odesa Eparchy

On April 10, 2025, with the blessing of His Eminence Agathangel, Metropolitan of Odesa and Izmail, the monastery’s spiritual father, Archbishop Viktor of Artsyz, performed monastic tonsures at the Archangel Michael Convent, according to the press service of the Odesa Eparchy.
During the ceremony, four nuns were tonsured into the Great Angelic Habit and received names in honor of the Venerable Anthony the Great, Sabbas the Sanctified, Euthymius the Great, and Macarius the Great.
Additionally, six novices were tonsured into the Lesser Angelic Habit and given names in honor of the Venerable Daniel the Iconographer, Equal-to-the-Apostles Mary Magdalene, the Venerable Martyr Eugenia, the Martyr Isidore, the Martyr Agnes, and the Archangel Raphael.
After the tonsure, Archbishop Viktor addressed the newly tonsured sisters with words of spiritual instruction and gave each of them a small icon as a keepsake of the day.
