On April 12, 2025, the day of Lazarus Saturday, Metropolitan Pavel, abbot of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, celebrated the festive Divine Liturgy in the monastery’s house church, according to the press service of the Lavra.

During the service, the abbot, with the blessing of the Primate of the UOC, performed the diaconal ordination of monk Cleopa and awarded liturgical honors to the Lavra clergy.

The Lavra's press service highlighted that this festive day is especially memorable: it was on Lazarus Saturday in 1997 that Metropolitan Pavel received his episcopal consecration.

Earlier, the UOJ reported that the brethren of the Lavra congratulated Metropolitan Pavel on the 31st anniversary of his service as abbot.
