The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has claimed it “exposed three more clerics of the UOC (MP) who justified the armed aggression of the RF against Ukraine,” according to the agency's social media posts.
The SBU alleges that during sermons and conversations with parishioners, the clergymen “justified Kremlin crimes and called for support of the occupiers”.
Among the individuals named is a UOC cleric from the Fastiv district, Kyiv region. In the Cherkasy region, the rector of a church and a monk from a men’s monastery of the UOC were detained.
“SBU-initiated judicial linguistic examinations confirmed the facts of the clerics’ information-subversive activities in favor of the RF. During searches, pro-Kremlin literature and mobile phones containing evidence were found,” the SBU stated.
Earlier, the UOJ published a detailed analysis of expert manipulation and falsification in the so-called “UOJ case”.
