Hearing Upper Lavra case suspended

On May 26, 2025, a hearing took place in the Northern Appeal Economic Court regarding the lawsuit of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra against the National Reserve for the right to use the churches of the Upper Lavra. This was reported on the Telegram channel "Fortress Lavra".
The monastery's lawyer said that the court decided to suspend the consideration of the case regarding the Upper Lavra and ordered to first review the cassation appeal against the ruling of the Northern Appeal Economic Court.
Thus, the petition of the monastery's lawyers was fully granted.
The date of the next hearing will be announced later.
The monastery's lawyer thanked everyone for their prayers and support.
As reported by the UOJ, during the previous hearing, the defense submitted appeal complaints from the monks of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. The brotherhood had previously submitted petitions as a third party regarding the violation of their rights to freely profess religion and conduct religious rites. The court rejected these petitions.
