In Shakhove in Donbas, UOC church hit twice by Russian shelling

In the village of Shakhove, Donetsk region, as a result of hostilities, the John the Theologian Church of the UOC was damaged. As reported by the press service of the Pokrovsk Vicariate, the church was hit by Russian shelling twice: in the morning of May 25, 2025, and a few hours later.

The Vicariate published photographs of the church after the first and second strikes.

In the photos, it is evident that the church was essentially destroyed the second time.

As reported by the UOJ, on the night of May 24 to 25, 2025, in Chernihiv, during a massive missile and drone attack by Russia, the UOC Church of All Saints of Chernihiv was damaged.
