Voznesensk Eparchy of UOC celebrates patronal feast

On May 29, 2025, on the day of the Ascension of the Lord, a festive Divine Liturgy was celebrated at the Ascension Cathedral of the city of Voznesensk, Mykolaiv region. A photo report from the patronal feast of the Voznesensk Eparchy of the UOC was published by the press service of the Khmelnytskyi Eparchy.
The service was led by Metropolitan Alexiy of Voznesensk and Pervomaisk, Metropolitan Viktor of Khmelnytskyi and Starokostiantyniv, and Archbishop Dionysiy of Pereiaslav-Khmelnytskyi, Vicar of the Kyiv Metropolis.
The hierarchs were concelebrated by the secretary of the Kyiv Eparchy for the city of Kyiv, Archpriest Viktor Ivashchuk, the secretary of the Voznesensk Eparchy, Archpriest Mykhailo Kyriak, and the clergy of the Voznesensk Eparchy.
During the service, prayers were offered for peace in Ukraine, the defenders, and all who need God's support.
After the reading of the Gospel, Metropolitan Viktor addressed the faithful with a sermon.
The celebration concluded with a procession and congratulations to the clergy and the faithful.
As reported by the UOJ, Metropolitan Onuphry stated that the Lord elevated human nature to the heavens. The Primate of the UOC, in his sermon on the feast of the Ascension of the Lord, emphasized the special dignity of man in the Divine plan.
