Why Church persecutors are pathetic plagiarists

A cynical phrase from MP Poturaev's interview with Lviv media is increasingly spreading around the world, stating that after the ban of the UOC, its churches could be used only as casinos or vegetable storage.
And in the video, it is noticeable that Poturaev is delighted with his own "wit". He clearly considers his "joke" to be something special and unique. But is it really so?
It is known that during the USSR, the churches that the Bolsheviks did not blow up were used for "the needs of the national economy": as warehouses, swimming pools, or cowsheds. But the most common use was placing grain and vegetable storage in the sanctuaries.
So, Poturaev did not come up with anything new. Apparently, "genetic memory" worked. But do not think that this memory is Chekist. No, it goes much deeper.
You will be surprised, but storing vegetables in churches is not at all a Bolshevik innovation. Let us recall the words of Psalm 78: "O God, the nations have come into Your inheritance; they have defiled Your holy temple; they have laid Jerusalem in heaps…"
The conquest of Jerusalem by Nebuchadnezzar and the desecration of the Jerusalem temple occurred more than 2600 years ago. But, as we see, nothing new has been invented since then. Each generation of desecrators simply blatantly plagiarizes their predecessors.
Many Church Fathers expressed thoughts that can be summed up with one well-known phrase: "The devil is the ape of God."
And if Poturaev thinks he is original, he should read recent history. Or open the Psalter.
