TRC detains priest from Shchedrohor near Kremenets

On August 4, 2025, near the town of Kremenets, officers from the Territorial Recruitment Center (TRC) detained Archpriest Serhii Shamailo, rector of the Church of St. Anna in the village of Shchedrohor, Volodymyr-Volyn Eparchy. Sources informed the UOJ of the incident.
It is reported that the priest was on his way to the Pochaiv Lavra for the all-night vigil on the eve of the feast of the Pochaiv Icon of the Mother of God. The current whereabouts and condition of Fr. Serhii remain unknown.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that the TRC had detained two UOC priests in the Sarny Eparchy.
