Dormition “liturgy” in Lavra: OCU brings parishioners by six buses

On August 15, 2025, in the Dormition Cathedral of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, an OCU “liturgy” was held, headed by Epifaniy Dumenko. Nominally, for the OCU this feast is their patronal celebration, since on the territory of the monastery the legal entity of the OCU “Holy Dormition Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra” is officially registered.
According to a UOJ correspondent, several dozen people were present at the “service.” They appeared in the monastery almost simultaneously, their arrival coinciding with the arrival of six buses, some of which came from Khmelnytsky region. Before their arrival, there were practically no people in the Dormition Cathedral.
It will be recalled that on August 14, at the OCU “all-night vigil” in the Dormition Cathedral on the eve of the patronal feast, there were about 10 people in the church, some of whom were providing technical support for the video broadcast.
