St. Nicholas Church of UOC consecrated in Dnipro

On October 6, 2025, Metropolitan Irenaeus of Dnipropetrovsk and Pavlohrad performed the rite of Great Consecration of the UOC church in honor of St. Nicholas, Archbishop of Myra in Lycia, in Dnipro. This was reported by the eparchial press service.

After the consecration, Metropolitan Irenaeus led the Divine Liturgy. He was concelebrated by the rector of the church, Archpriest Andriy Trusov, and clergy from the Kamianske, Dnipropetrovsk, and Khmelnytskyi eparchies.

During the liturgy, prayers were offered for peace in Ukrainian land, those in despair and the homeless, and God's blessing on people of goodwill who help the needy.

During the service, the metropolitan performed the diaconal ordination of Mykhailo Trusov, a graduate of the Kyiv Theological Seminary.

By the blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry, the archbishop awarded the rector of the church, Archpriest Andriy, the right to wear a cross with decorations. He also presented UOC medals to the workers and benefactors of the parish, and eparchial letters to the parishioners of the church.

As reported by the UOJ, Dnipropetrovsk Metropolitan Irenaeus consecrated a chapel in the Samar Monastery.
