Court to consider appeal against pre-trial detention of Metropolitan Arseniy

On 18 November 2025, a hearing will be held at the Dnipro Court of Appeal in Kryvyi Rih in the case of Metropolitan Arseniy of Sviatohirsk, according to the press service of the Sviatohirsk Lavra.
The court is to consider the appeals filed by the lawyers against the decision of the Sobornyi District Court of the city of Dnipro of 3 November ordering that Metropolitan Arseniy be placed in custody.
The hearing will begin at 15:40 at the following address: 24 Myra Avenue.
“Dear brothers and sisters, we ask for prayers for the imprisoned Metropolitan Arseniy and the brethren of the Lavra,” the statement says.
As a reminder, Metropolitan Arseniy (Yakovenko) has been held in custody since April 2024. As the UOJ previously reported, on 3 November the hierarch was once again placed behind bars for 38 days.
