Congresswoman: By funding Ukrainian govt., we aid persecution of Christians

On December 9, 2025, Republican Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna once again criticized the Ukrainian authorities for persecuting Christians. In her opinion, the funding of the Ukrainian authorities by the USA administration effectively means participating in the persecution of Christians in Ukraine.
"So tell me: how is the U.S. not funding the persecution of Christians in Ukraine when we’re literally giving money to the government carrying it out?" Luna posed a rhetorical question to readers on her X page.
Let us recall, on the same day, December 9, Anna Paulina Luna wrote two more posts criticizing the Ukrainian authorities for persecuting Christians in Ukraine.
“Reports confirm church raids, clergy detentions, and state pressure on certain Christian denominations in Ukraine. Yes, the same Ukraine that Congress keeps writing blank checks to,” Luna wrote.
