Bulgarian Patriarch to pay official visit to Phanar

Bulgarian Patriarch Daniil, at the invitation of the Ecumenical Patriarch and by decision of the Holy Synod of the Bulgarian Orthodox Church, will make his first official visit to Istanbul. This was reported by the press service of the Bulgarian Patriarchate.
On 26 December 2025, the Primate of the Bulgarian Church will concelebrate the Divine Liturgy with Patriarch Bartholomew at the Church of St George at the Phanar. On 27 December, Patriarch Daniil will preside at a service at the Bulgarian Church of St Stephen, widely known as the “Iron Church.”
Earlier, the UOJ reported that in Thessaloniki, Patriarchs Daniil and Bartholomew discussed inter-Orthodox issues.
