Patriarch of Antioch expresses support for UOC

On December 25, 2025, on the Feast of the Nativity of Christ according to the New Julian calendar, Patriarch John X of Great Antioch and All the East expressed support for the persecuted Ukrainian Orthodox Church, reports Orthodoxia News Agency.

After the Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral of the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos in Damascus, the Patriarch stated that the canonical Church in Ukraine is the Church headed by His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry. Patriarch John expressed support for its Primate, bishops, and faithful.

Earlier, UOJ wrote that Patriarch Bartholomew commemorated the head of the OCU in the presence of the Bulgarian Patriarch.
