Rivne Eparchy holds “Bible Experts” Olympiad

On January 2, 2026, with the blessing of Metropolitan Pimen of Rivne and Ostroh, the “Bible Experts” Olympiad was held at the Church of the Holy Apostle and Evangelist John the Theologian in the village of Barmaky of the Northern Deanery, the press service of the Rivne Eparchy of the UOC reported.
Students from the Sunday schools of the deanery’s churches took part in the competition. The participants were divided into junior and senior age groups. The answers were evaluated by the deanery’s clergy.
After the conclusion of the olympiad, the dean of the Northern Deanery, Archimandrite Vasyl (Vashchyk), thanked the children for taking part and presented them with certificates and gifts.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that Metropolitan Pimen performed a monastic tonsure at the Horodok Monastery in Rivne.
