MinCulture to hold scientific conference on history of humanities at Lavra

On January 15–16, 2026, the V All-Ukrainian Scientific Conference on the History of Humanities will be held at the National Reserve "Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra". This was reported on the website of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine.
The forum is dedicated to the centenary of the recognition of the territory of the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra as a state museum complex and will be held in both in-person and online formats. It will be attended by scholars, staff of museums, archives, and libraries; as well as representatives of the country’s higher education institutions and research institutes.
During the discussions, participants will discuss mechanisms for preserving cultural heritage in Ukraine, ways to study and present it to a wide audience, and exchange practical experiences of museums, libraries, and archives. A separate block will be dedicated to the activities of organizations involved in the protection of historical and cultural monuments.
In addition, discussions are planned on the processes of the formation and development of intellectual networks in the humanities, as well as on the traditions of scholarly work and research approaches that have taken shape in Ukraine. The program of the event includes plenary and panel sessions, as well as a poster session.
Upon completion of the conference, participants will be able to publish their materials in the specialized publication of the National Reserve "Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra".
Earlier, the UOJ reported that the Lavra Reserve and the OCU signed a memorandum on the preservation of caves and relics.
