The Muslim name Mohammed is becoming the most popular choice for newborn boys in a number of Europe’s largest cities. Such information was published by the World of Statistics service on X. According to the report, Mohammed is most often given to newborns in London, Manchester, Oslo, Brussels, Amsterdam, The Hague, and Berlin. The publication does not specify the time period covered by the data.
At the same time, in the comments, some users express doubts about the reliability of the service’s statistics. In particular, they note that the AI Grok provides different figures for 2025, according to which in Brussels the name Mohammed ranks second, while in Berlin it is only sixth.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that Trump criticized the mayor of London for introducing sharia law.
