Priest's son from Mohyliv-Podilskyi Eparchy of UOC killed in war

The Mohyliv-Podilskyi Eparchy reported the death of warrior Dmytro, a son of the rector of the Church of St. Theodosius of Chernihiv in the village of Busha, Archpriest Anatoly Shynaev. The soldier parished on February 11, 2026, while carrying out a combat mission. This is reported by the UOC Information and Educational Department, citing the eparchy's press service.
The message stated that the clergy and faithful received the news of the loss with deep sorrow.
The message reads: "We ask everyone to offer prayers for the newly departed warrior Dmytro. May the Lord receive his soul in the dwellings of the righteous, forgive his sins and grant him the Kingdom of Heaven."
The faithful were also called upon to support Father Anatoly, Matushka Halyna and their family with prayer, so that the Lord may strengthen them in their grief and give them comfort.
As the UOJ reported, the Kharkiv Eparchy clergy performed funeral services for those killed in Bohodukhiv.
