Six nuns take monastic vows at Kyiv’s Florovsky Monastery

With the blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry, Archbishop Mark of Borodianka performed the monastic tonsure of six sisters of the Ascension Florovsky Monastery in Kyiv on March 22, 2026, the UOC press service reported.
Praying at the service were the abbess of the monastery, Igumenia Yevlampia, together with the sisters and parishioners of the convent.
After the tonsure, Archbishop Mark congratulated the newly tonsured nuns and wished them God’s help in carrying the monastic obedience of service to God, the Church, and their neighbors.
Afterward, in keeping with established tradition, all those present congratulated the nuns on receiving the angelic habit.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that a new nun was tonsured on March 21, 2026, at the Intercession Krasnohirske Monastery in the Cherkasy region.
