Usyk and Joshua visit UOC church in Kyiv to pray

On March 22, 2026, boxers Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua visited the UOC Church of St. Theodosiy of Chernihiv in Kyiv, Boxing King Media reports. The rector of the church is Archbishop Spiridon of Vyshneve, vicar of the Kyiv eparchy.
According to the report, during a tour of Kyiv, Usyk brought Joshua to the church so that he could pray for his trainers who were killed in a car accident – Sine Gami and Kevin Ayodele.
Earlier, the UOJ reported that Usyk congratulated Ukrainians on Christmas and called on them to treat one another with love.
