The abbess of the monastery, Hegumeness Kalisfenia, prayed at the service with the sisters. The chanting was performed by the choir of the nuns of the Holy Intercession Monastery. After the reading of the Holy Gospel, His Beatitude addressed the flock with a sermon.
During the Liturgy, prayers were offered for peace in the Ukrainian land, deliverance from the enemy, those who have lost their homes, the strengthening of the soldiers, the release of captives, and the healing of the sick. The Primate asked God for mercy upon the Ukrainian people, wisdom for the authorities, and blessings upon all who help those in need.
The service concluded with a procession around the cathedral and a prayer to St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. After the service, His Beatitude the Archbishop congratulated the nuns and parishioners of the monastery on the feast day.
