Zelensky congratulates Ukrainian Muslims on Eid al-Adha

On May 27, 2026, Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the Muslim community in Ukraine and worldwide on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. In a post on his Telegram channel, the head of state wished that the holiday would bring blessing and harmony to every family. He also noted Ukraine’s efforts to protect lives in Europe, the Middle East, and the South Caucasus region.

“May this holiday bring lasting peace, blessing, and harmony to every family,” the President wished. “Ukraine is doing much so that as many families as possible can celebrate this Eid al-Adha in true safety.”

In his address, the President separately touched on Crimea and expressed gratitude to all those helping return Ukrainian citizens from captivity. Zelenskyy stressed that the state is striving to bring home all Crimean political prisoners. He concluded his greeting with the Crimean Tatar phrase: “Qurban Bayram hayırlı ve mübarek olsun!”
