Mobilization of UOC clerics is being recorded in Volyn: on June 13, 2026, employees of the territorial recruitment center (TRC) in Lutsk detained Deacon Andriy Virny of the Three Hierarchs Church of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (UOC), reports “Pershyi Kozatskyi”.
TRC staff stopped the car in which the clergyman was traveling and claimed that his deferment had allegedly expired. According to Father Andriy's relatives, the deferment documents are valid. The deacon is a father of three children, which gives him the official right to exemption from conscription. He is currently being illegally held in the Lutsk TRC building.
According to relatives, TRC employees used profane language to insult Father Andriy and his mother, referring to the clergyman's affiliation with the UOC, and called them "waiters." At the same time, four blood brothers of the deacon are currently serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
As the UOJ reported, TRC abducted the rector of a UOC church in Korchivka of the Khmelnytskyi Eparchy.
