Thousands of Muslims march in USA to mark Islamic feast

On June 28, 2026, in the city of Dearborn, Michigan, approximately 4,000 Shia Muslims held the 12th annual Ashura March, during which participants waved Hezbollah flags and chanted radical slogans, reports Life Site News.
The “Ashura March for Justice” flooded the streets of the city, which is home to the largest Muslim community in the United States. Thousands of demonstrators dressed in black marched through downtown Dearborn, chanting "Allahu Akbar" and other Arabic chants, with some holding up yellow signs that read: “We do not bow down to tyrants,” “Never to Humiliation,” “Every day is Ashura, Free Palestine,” and “Your days are numbered – Justice is coming.” Notably, there was not a single American flag in sight.
Local politicians, including Democratic Michigan state Rep. Alabas Farhat, who attended the march, praised the event for purportedly “standing against oppression.” At the same time, American commentators stated that such footage proves migrants' unwillingness to assimilate into Western society and their desire to "conquer" it.
