The Antiochian Church has launched the first-ever interactive project "Antiochian Global Reach," which displays the geographical presence of the Church on all continents. This was reported by the Antiochian Patriarchate on Facebook.

On this topic Patriarchs Bartholomew and John X meet at the Phanar

The project was created with the blessing of Patriarch John X of Antioch and timed to coincide with the Church’s patronal feast. The first version of the platform already contains more than 85% of the required data on the structures of the Patriarchate. The registry is expected to be regularly updated with current information submitted by eparchies and communities themselves.

The interactive map covers not only churches, but also administrative centers and various institutions under the jurisdiction of the Antiochian Church.

The Patriarchate noted that Antiochian Global Reach bears witness to the Church’s uninterrupted missionary work from apostolic times to the present day. According to the project’s creators, it will serve as a “living” registry reflecting the actual state of the Antiochian Church in the modern world.

As the UOJ reported, the Patriarch of Antioch called for an end to violence against Christians in Syria.
