Ukrainian authorities arranged a tour of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra for American blogger Laura Loomer, the press service of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra National Reserve reported.
At the Lavra, Loomer was received by Deputy Prime Minister for Humanitarian Policy and Minister of Culture of Ukraine Tetiana Berezhna, First Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Serhiy Kyslytsia, and Maksym Ostapenko, director general of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra National Reserve. The senior officials personally accompanied the guest around the Lavra grounds, indicating the official nature of the visit.
Loomer is known for videos promoting conspiracy theories. She previously sharply criticized Ukraine and Volodymyr Zelensky, claiming that Kyiv was to blame for the conflict. In June 2026, however, she abruptly reversed her position and traveled to Ukraine. Loomer has not explained what prompted such a radical change in her views.
As the UOJ reported, Ostapenko accompanied a Vatican delegation on a tour of the Far Caves of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra.
