OCA Primate congratulates His Beatitude on enthronement anniversary

His Beatitude Tikhon, Archbishop of Washington, Metropolitan of All America and Canada, has sent congratulations to His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine on the occasion of the 12th anniversary of his enthronement, reports the press service of the UOC.

In his message, Metropolitan Tikhon assured His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of the prayers of the OCA clergy and faithful. "On the occasion of the twelfth anniversary of Your Beatitude's election as Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine, please accept my heartfelt congratulations and assurances of the prayers of the clergy and faithful of the Orthodox Church in America," the congratulatory message reads.

The Primate of the Church in America emphasized that over the course of twelve years of ministry, Metropolitan Onuphry has been providing spiritual guidance to his flock during a period of extremely severe trials. "During these twelve years, the Lord has entrusted Your Beatitude with the care of His flock during extraordinarily difficult trials. Amid all these trials, Your unwavering ministry has been a witness to the undying hope that we find in Christ, who remains the Good Shepherd of His people," Metropolitan Tikhon noted.

The hierarch wished Metropolitan Onuphry God’s help, wisdom, courage, and peace, as well as many more years of ministry. He also expressed hope that a just and lasting peace will soon come to Ukraine.
