A meal distribution point continues to operate at the Church of the Prophet Elijah in Sumy, part of the Sumy Eparchy, where food supplies have been delivered for preparing hot meals. This was reported by the FAVOR Charitable Foundation.

Every day, people come here for whom an ordinary plate of hot food is far from something they can take for granted. Among those receiving assistance are people who have lost their jobs, lack money for basic necessities, or have found themselves in difficult life circumstances. The organizers note that care often begins with something simple – a serving of a hot meal and the opportunity to come in, sit down at a table, and eat.

The foundation stressed that it continues to provide help wherever it is needed today and thanked everyone taking part in the “Dobra Porsiia” ("Good Portion") campaign.

As the UOJ reported, the Sumy Eparchy of the UOC provided assistance worth UAH 1.25 million to children with cancer.
