On December 4, 2025, Father Stefan Struzh, a priest of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, performed the rite of consecration of a house chapel in the village of Shepit of the Putyla Deanery, Bukovyna. This was reported by the faithful of the Chernivtsi-Bukovyna Eparchy on Facebook.
The chapel was built on the grounds of a private estate. The initiators of the construction were a couple who dedicated the church to the heavenly patron of the head of the family — Saint Basil the Great. Father Stefan Struzh is a cleric of the local parish community of the Holy Prophet Elijah.
As reported by the UOJ, in Stavchany, a UOC hierarch consecrated a house church for the community instead of the seized one.
